Why do married men look at porn?

I've always wondered what is it about porn that turns men on so much, even when they have a real woman waiting to take them? Why are grown men so obsessed with porn that some even ruin their marriages for it? I know guys who will look at a girlie magazine and fantasise when they could make love to their wives. I've also seen troubled relationships due to this porn-addiction of men. Why? Maybe some men here can shed some light.

It's quite normal for a man to watch porn and fantasize. There's nothing wrong with such behaviour. Be glad your man is not philandering. Monogamy would be monotonous were it not for such pleasures. You mention girlie magazines. That has been left far behind by the stuff online in the form of videos and pictures. I have no problems if my partner visits these numerous web sites, personally. I would have a problem if he chose to ignore me and used these images and fantasies to satisfy himself instead of me but I don't see them as any competition They play a complimenatary role, rather.

Men have been into pornography since time began. There has been no stopping them. The media may have changed going from print to video to the internet, the basic motivations and desires remain the same. There is no changing human nature. it shouldn't be a problem either as long as your man is not so much into self-eroticism that he is ignoring you. Porn can sometimes infuse life into a dull sex life, if nothing else, then by teaching you a few new positions. Most porn is targeted at men and is mostly about female nudity. This is perhaps one of the reasons women don't get turned on by porn and in fact, many find it disgusting. Pornography has also gone on to become more acceptable today. Going several steps further from staring at videos, millions of men visit strip clubs or topless bars. Some men even date strippers. So if your man is only watching porn and is as eager to drag you into bed as ever, there's no reason to blow your top when you find any CDs or pictures lying around.
