Men feel guiltier following sexual infidelity, women after emotional transgression
LONDON - Men feel guiltier following sexual infidelity, while women feel bad after an emotional transgression, concludes a new study.
In the study, led by Maryanne Fisher, a professor at St Mary’s University in Halifax, Canada, researchers found that the women participants felt guiltier after falling in love with someone, rather than trying different sexual positions with them.
While the men said they would feel guiltier having sex without emotion rather than love without sex, reports The Daily Express.
Fisher said: “If someone -assumes their partner is most concerned with the same form of infidelity they are most -concerned about they could make false inferences leading to feelings of guilt.”
The study also found women, rather than men, would be more likely to leave if they found out their partner was sleeping with someone else. (ANI)
