South Pacific Island Honeymoons - Samoa
Samoa has been made even more famous by the legendary Robert Louis Stevenson, who spent his last years on this island, which is popularly known as the ‘treasured island’ of the South Pacific. It lies between the Cook Islands and Fiji and is made up of four inhabited islands, while the rest are virgin. They are clustered together and therefore, more easily accessible.
Samoa is fairly hot as it is closer to the equator and temperatures can be around 29 degrees Celsius. November to March is wet, but long periods of sunny weather are not uncommon even during this phase.
Samoa is renowned for its surfing and also has some famous tourist attractions like R.L. Stevenson’s tomb and the Piula Cave Pool. The other draws are the waterfall and pyramid on Savaii and the National Park on Upolu. An excellent way to experience the true spirit of Samoa is to live in a Samoan fale and commune with nature.
