On February 11, 2023, I publicly stated that between mid-March and the end of April 2023, Alia Bhatt would buy or sell assets of immense value and/or make significant business investments. I described the period as seminal – one that would mark growth and evolution.
At the time, there was no public confirmation of any such transaction.
On April 10, 2023 – squarely within the forecast window – Alia Bhatt purchased a 2,497 sq ft apartment in the upscale Pali Hill locality of Bandra for Rs. 37.80 crore. The property was registered in the name of her production house, Eternal Sunshine Productions Pvt Ltd. She paid a stamp duty of Rs. 2.26 crore on the transaction.
On the very same day, she also executed a gift deed transferring two Juhu apartments to her sister Shaheen Bhatt. The combined built-up area of those flats was 2,086 sq ft, and the gift deed attracted a stamp duty of Rs. 30.75 lakh.

The scale, value and timing of the transaction aligned precisely with what I had identified a month earlier: buying and transferring high-value assets within a defined mid-March to April-end window.
